CEO, Austria TourismAstrid Steharnig-Staudinger has been CEO of Austria Tourism since 1 May 2023. Born into a Carinthian farming and hospitality family, the graduate of the Carinthian tourism schools and a degree in economics with a focus on Central and South Eastern Europe completed her first professional stations in marketing and sales for international hotel groups. From 2003, she was responsible for destination marketing in the CEE markets and Scandinavia at WienTourismus. in 2008, she founded the internationally orientated agency Linking Brands, which she managed for 15 years until her move to the top of Austria Tourism.
