Astrid Steharnig-Staudinger has been the Managing Director of Austria Tourism since May 1, 2023. Born into a Carinthian farming and hospitality family, the graduate of the Carinthian Tourism Schools and a business degree focusing on Central and Southeastern Europe had her first career steps in marketing and sales for international hotel groups. From 2003, she was responsible for destination marketing in the CEE markets and Scandinavia at WienTourismus. In 2008, she founded the internationally oriented agency Linking Brands, which she led for 15 years until her move to the top of Austria Tourism.
