Katja Maurer

Katja Maurer is an expert in process optimisation and error management and has specialised in these topics with her management consultancy in Switzerland. She supports companies in achieving their goals and increasing their performance by optimising processes and building a positive error culture. With 20 years of experience in management positions, including as a member of the executive board, she brings valuable practical knowledge in various sectors such as the pharmaceutical industry, food industry and clinical research.

Katja Maurer holds a PhD from the University of Zurich, an MSc in Life Sciences and an MAS in Nutrition and Health from ETH Zurich. She is also a graduate engineer (FH) in food technology and has a variety of qualifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, auditor, stress management trainer and mental coach. Her personal experience with serious process errors and the challenge of being available to her employees at all times led her to realise how crucial good process management and employee involvement are. This realisation motivated her to pass on her expertise and help companies to use errors as an opportunity for improvement. In addition to her consultancy work, Katja Maurer is also active as a keynote speaker. In her presentations, she shows how dealing openly with mistakes not only strengthens processes, but also teams. She also works as a lecturer for corporate processes and shares her knowledge and experience in her podcast "Fehler.Prozess.Erfolg".
