Dagmar Lund-Durlacher is a Professor of Sustainable Tourism Management and Director of the Institute for Tourism Sustainability (ITS) in Vienna. She is also affiliated with the University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde and is responsible for the scientific management of the Center for Sustainable Tourism (ZENAT) in Berlin.
Her work focuses on sustainable tourism, the transformation of destinations, sustainability measurement, data-based and smart tourism management. Other key topics of her work include climate change, circular economy, sustainable food systems, and the use of data to support sustainable tourism development.
She has many years of experience in academia, university management, and applied research and is involved in numerous international research, consulting, and training projects.
