The Sustainable Tourism in Austria Summit (STiAS) is a two-day conference organised by Österreich Werbung together with the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. At STiAS, pioneers and outstanding projects are brought to the fore and knowledge transfer within the Austrian and international tourism industry is promoted. STiAS is to be understood as a networking platform that focusses on learning from each other and also places Austria in an international comparison in the field of sustainability. The challenges and opportunities associated with Austria's transformation into a sustainable tourism destination are also addressed. After a successful start in early summer 2024, the 2nd STiAS 2025 will take place in Bregenz.
The 2nd Sustainable Tourism in Austria Summit will take place on 3 and 4 June 2025 at the Festspielhaus Bregenz.
The first day of the conference will be held in German and the second day in English. AI-based simultaneous translation into around 60 languages will be available in the main conference hall on both days.
The event programme is varied, ranging from keynotes and best practices to panel discussions. In addition, interactive workshops will be offered to illustrate the interplay between innovation and sustainability.
National and international experts will organise the conference. All speakers will not only share their successes and good practices, but also focus on learning culture and knowledge transfer.
We are looking forward to the participation of numerous sustainability coordinators (at destination and company level), trade media representatives and international media and travel trade representatives.
Registration for STiAS is open until until 30.04.2025 on our website.
Of course, you can also take part in just one of the two days.
Participation in STiAS is free of charge.
Bregenz is the provincial capital of Vorarlberg, located in the heart of the quadrangle of Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein, and is easily accessible by all means of transport, especially by public transport.
(Direct) trains run at regular intervals and several times a day. The journey from Munich to Bregenz takes around 2 hours and from Zurich to Bregenz around 1.5 hours. From Vienna, it takes just under 7 hours to reach Bregenz - the Railjet runs every two hours to the west.
From Bregenz railway station it is a 7-minute walk to the location. If you would like to combine a short walk along the shores of Lake Constance with your journey, you can also get off at the "Bregenz Hafen" stop and walk along the lakeside promenade to the Festspielhaus in 15 minutes.
Thanks to the Bregenz Festival, the internationally renowned Kunsthaus Bregenz and numerous events, Bregenz is considered the cultural capital of Lake Constance. The historic upper town with its landmark Martinsturm tower provides a tranquil counterpoint to the bustling life in the centre. The Pfänder, Bregenz's local mountain at 1,064 metres: an unforgettable experience is the ride on the modern, comfortable gondola of the Pfänder panorama lift, which silently climbs the most beautiful vantage point on Lake Constance in just a few minutes.
A hotel contingent is available for the event. Book your accommodation now! Bookings can be made until 7 April 2025, provided the contingent is not exhausted before then.
