Jakob Reitinger

Managing Director, Tourismusverband Bad Ischl

Jakob Reitinger, born in Salzburg, graduated from the Klessheim Tourism School and studied art history in Vienna and Salzburg. After working in the event and culture sector, including at the Salzburg Festival, he managed the Grödig Tourism Association from 2012 and was also a regional manager at SalzburgerLand Tourismus GmbH from 2019. From 2021 to 2025, he chaired the Bad Ischl Tourism Association.

From July 2025, he will take over the management of Regensburg Tourismus GmbH (RTG) and will work to ensure the sustainable further development of Regensburg as a tourist destination.

Visitor management is a central building block for sustainable tourism, as it helps to strike a balance between the needs of travellers, locals and the environment. It enables the long-term utilisation of tourism resources without overexploiting them and thus contributes to sustainable development.

The thematic block consists of an opening lecture, the presentation of a best practice and a subsequent panel discussion.
