Year-round tourism is the key driver of sustainable tourism development. But how can we communicate this vision credibly? Amidst strategic goals, diverse stakeholders and varied markets, there is often a disconnect between the ‘why’ and what actually resonates with visitors.
In this workshop, we explore the question of what the real “WHY” behind year-round tourism is and how this can be used to develop communication that is relevant, understandable and effective across different target groups such as guests, businesses, stakeholders and residents.
Together, we will reflect on existing narratives, question common communication patterns and develop concrete approaches for credible storytelling across target groups and markets.
The workshop provides guidance for credible communication on year-round tourism and offers initial concrete approaches for strong, target-group-relevant stories that go beyond conventional sustainability narratives.
The workshop will be led by Thomas Kreidl and Ivana Walden.
